Trader Joe's

I don't shop at Trader Joe's as much as I might if it was closer to my house. I definitely find foods and products that I like there, it's just not that convenient for me to take the trip for a relatively small grocery list.

Trader Joe's brand, in general, means "no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives, no genetically modified ingredients, no MSG, and no added Trans Fats." Trader Joe's also provides current product lists of the special diet food items that they carry. They have product lists for each of these categories: gluten-free, fat-free, low-sodium, quick meals, kosher, vegetarian, AND VEGAN! I am very impressed. This is a recent discovery for me, actually. [Thank you, Grant Butler.]

In addition to this, they print the letter 'V' with a green background on all of their brand items that are vegan. The symbol is below for your reference. So, next time you are shopping there and you pick up a TJ's product, look for the 'V'.

As you know, I am a big TJ shopper. They used to carry Better-Than-Sour Cream, but haven't for a long time. Mysterious, since they still carry Better-Than-Cream Cheese.

Fun blog!

That's the other reason I don't always shop TJ's. Their inventory can be kinda random and sproadic. Which is great for new and interesting things. But if I want Vegetable Fried Rice, dammit, they better have Vegetable Fried Rice.

This blog is awesome. Found out about it at the bake sale yesterday and have really enjoyed what I've read so far.

About to head out to TJ's so this is very helpful. FYI, though, the Vegetarian link is broken...

Hi Christine! Thanks for visiting. Sorry about the broken links. TJ's redid their website on me, changing their page addresses at the same time. Links should be fixed now. :)
