2nd Annual Worldwide Vegan Bakesale April 24-May 2, 2010

Sample Vegan Baked Goods: Cherry Creme Chocolate Cupcakes

Between April 24th and May 2nd, 2010, groups from around the world are holding vegan bake sales to raise money for charities as part of the 2nd Annual Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale. Each group chooses the venue, the vegan goodies for sale, and the cause the proceeds are going to benefit. In its first year, 2009, a hundred groups all over the world participated and raised over $25,000 for charities. VegNews Magazine named it the "Veg Event of the Year".

This year, Arizona has three groups registered to run a vegan bakesale as part of the Worldwide Vegan Bakesale. It's not too late to join in as a baker, so if you'd like to contribute goodies to these sales, please contact the organizers. You can also organize your own bakesale, if you're quick about it.

If you are a participant (or a fan!),you can also order this great shirt to wear at your event!

OMG this is so evil. Those shouldn't post such luscious delights.

It's all part of my evil plan. Besides what do you expect when the cookbook it comes from proclaims to want 'to take over the world'! In fact, if I didn't know better, I'd say Pinky and the Brain were involved.

I will head to the Glendale one after our meeting.

Vegan lunch, vegan desert- I'll have to eat extra steak for dinner to make up for it. hehe just kidding.

Woohoo! These are going to be awesome :c) I've been baking cookies all day for the Phoenix one - chocolate mint oatmeal, "cream cheese" strawberry glazed, lavender-lemon, apricot-almond, & tahini-trail mix granola bites. Can't wait!!! Your cupcakes look AMAZING.

Tracy, don't get too excited, I didn't make these chocolate cherry fantasy cuppers for the bake sale. I made them ages ago and they took more time than I had for tomorrow. Sadly!

Can't wait to try some new goodies from the vegan bakers other than myself! :)
